Pet Care for Conscious Pet Guardians: Providing You Peace of Mind While You're Away.

I'm Elaine, and I bring over 30 years of dedicated experience caring for my own pets as well as those of friends and neighbours. I absolutely love animals and have a natural ability to build trust with them quickly.
After a successful 30-year career in the corporate world, I made the intentional decision to change path and pursue my true passion: animal care.
I choose to work in the private as a reflection of who I am and how I wish to relate to the men and woman I work with. An honest and straightforward private agreement between real people, with our names behind it.
My mission is to provide exceptional pet care and total peace of mind for you. I promise a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where every pet's physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being is my top priority. I provide photo and video check-in reports to you during the time your pet is in my care.
I offer experience with pets with special needs, including medication and dietary management, gained through years of managing my own senior dog's complex health needs from puppyhood to her final years. I deeply understand the responsibility this carries and am committed to providing the same level of diligent, loving care that you would give yourself.
I believe pets are cherished family members, each with their own unique personality, deserving the very best care and attention. Every pet is treated with love and respect, as is your home.
I offer a private pet care service tailored to you and your pets' needs.
Our services include dog walking, drop-in welfare visits, and pet sitting in your own home. I am happy to collaborate with you to create a personalised care plan that prioritises your pet's wellness and unique needs.
Coverage areas (Ayr): We currently cover Forehill, Holmston, Masonhill, Castlehill, and Belmont. If you are located outside these areas, please enquire, as I may be able to accommodate your request.
I mainly cater for small to medium-sized dogs. I may consider walking larger dogs, but this will be assessed on a case-by-case basis to ensure it can be done safely.
Free Meet & Greet: I offer a complimentary introductory meeting to discuss your pet’s routine, personality, behaviour, and any specific medical or dietary needs. Together, we will finalise a personalised care plan tailored to your pet's unique requirements and agree on which of our services are required. This is also your opportunity to ask any questions before confirming your booking.

My commitment to excellence in pet care begins with a comprehensive Professional Pet Sitting Certification, which covers animal behaviour, nutrition, safety protocols, and the safe administration of medication.
I also hold certifications in:
- Introductory certification in Canine Holistic Health & Therapy, equipping me with knowledge of physical and mental wellness, nutritional support, and natural healing remedies for pet wellness.
- Canine Behaviour & Training Diploma, including Positive Reinforcement, Separation Anxiety, Behavioural Adjustment Training, and Aggression.
- Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS) Webinar: How to identify and support cats and dogs who are experiencing Alzheimer's-like symptoms.
- Canine Separation Anxiety Webinar: Recognising the signs and symptoms, the triggers and how to prevent.
To better serve pets with complex needs, I am currently advancing my studies through the following:
- Canine Nutrition: How Diet Affects Behaviour.
- Introduction to Fear and Anxiety in Dogs and Cats Webinar: Understanding the difference between fear and anxiety, and the body language used to express these emotions. How complementary therapies and dietary supplements can play a role in helping animals with these conditions.
- Understanding & Managing Canine Anxiety Diploma: The biological basis for anxiety as an animal emotion, underlying physiological and neurobiological systems that regulate canine anxiety, behavioural signs, and addressing the problem.
I believe in lifelong learning, and my ongoing development will ensure your pets always receive the most up-to-date care.

Disclosure Scotland certificate is available upon request.

Conscious Pet Care looked after my horse, 2 dogs, cat and my home for 2 nights whilst I attended a family wedding. My animals were all very happy and well looked after, and my horse’s stable was cleaner than I keep it! I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending. L MacIvor.

Conscious Pet Care have consistently shown kindness and compassion to my dogs who absolutely adore them. The peace of mind I have leaving my dogs with them, knowing they will receive the most loving and excellent care. It’s difficult to find good quality animal care and I know I’ve found it here.
